Was founded in 1996 and released a bizarre CD for Mellow Records; their music has been defined an original blending of psycho-raga-blues and if compared to their mainly acoustic debut (“The original Astral Weeks’ sound”), has become more and more electric over the years. Two ex Effervescent Elephants (Lodovico Ellena & aldo Casciano) aremembers of the group, a well-know italian psychedelic band; the othes are veteran bass-player Mauro Coda and young guitarist Max Mussetti. The band’s philosophy is to privilege the hot, crude sounds of the garage-studio, to the cleaner sounds of the <>recording studio. 180 gr. virgin vinyl presing, heavy quality sleeves.

this album comes from a spiritual insight, and nothing else. There are no grand solos, no great arrangement, no special effects, as if it wasn’t made of music at all; it was meant to be just a tribute to an artist and to his poetry. Barrett is a genius and his album is a shout out to the world. He does it in a whisper by undersizing his nature in a way that well portrays the former leader of the Effervescent Elephants group.

The history of the Mirrors is one of a shooting star, a meteor coming to life as The effervescent Elephants, later labelled “God’s lunatics” and than back into the effervescent Elephants for a brief time, only to expire and dissolve when they released a CD album - which is presented here in vinyl copy - palyed whit the Mirrors in 1993. The uninterrupted pattern of the three bands is clear-cut, even with some abysmal discrepancies. Notably the group started their artistic and philosophical pathway in 1989, a course which was marked by upsets and success, elation and distress cheers and empty venues, as it often seems to be the destiny of most undergrounds artists.This is the Mirrors meteor, the span of life of a group who praised art and poetry, and celebrated that thin metaphysical thread that encompassed a slice of Italy for just a sudden twinkling of an eye.

Mid-seventies recordings in this album performed by Il Cerchio d'Oro, an italian group from Savona. Only 3 singles were issued at the time and a postumous Cd published by Mellow in 1999. This Lp, released with heavy quality sleeves (very fine art-work) and virgin vinyl pressing, contains some originals of the first period and some covers (mainly by Le Orme). The recordings taped in rehearsal room are not perfect but really enjoyable in a prog-psychedelic style.

- Textured Cover The Use Of Ashes are from The Netherlands. Nijmegen, near the German border to be more precise. Being born as Mekanik Kommando on the waves of the early 80s avantgarde ultra movement, the music changed, the name changed. 1988 marked the start of The Use Of Ashes with Castle Of Fair Welcome. Recorded as a three-piece band with Peter van Vliet, his brother Simon, and Jack Kaat. Shortly after the release, Simon van Vliet and Jack Kaat left the band which left The Use Of Ashes as a one man band. Working alone at the Temple Studios, tentative recordings began for a follow up. Few was heard of the band for over five years. An occasional appearance was all that we heard of the band, one of them a gig af the Fast Forward Festival alongside Beck and Robyn Hitchcock. The recordings became a project, the project became an album. Firetree. Far away from modern life, Van Vliet builded his own universe in words, tunes and sounds. The album's dense mixture of folk, electronics, krautrock and ambient was finally released on CD by Mellow records in Italy, in 1996, following by a very limited (100 copies!) 2lp on the band's new ToneFloat label in 1998. A decade later, the album stills stands as The Use Of Ashes' most personal work. It's good to see it available again on vinyl, with a full album side of unreleased recordings from the early 90s.

Textured cover. This album was previously published on private tape from Rinfresko Elettiko, in very few copies. The Fractal Mob are: Fabrizio Cecchi ( aka Trip Hill ) and Piero Papini. They wrote all tracks and played all instruments: drums, noise generator, sitar, filter, tape loops, moog and more analog synth.
Recorded at the basament home-studio  with a 4-tracks cassette. Musicinfluences:  Silver Apple, Cluster Cosmic Jockers...

In effetti qualunque altro titolo per questo lavoro sarebbe risultato descrittivamente riduttivo. Claudio Rocchi & Effervescent Elephants. Che altro? Sette tracce, tre con testi scritti e cantati da Rocchi e quattro brani strumentali.Il campo è vasto: da "niente di meno che ridere forte di questa politica" a "… solo due secoli di auto intorno ed aeronavi invece da millenni; che vuoti di memoria e che teorie bizzarre per gli atterraggi dalle stelle…". I suoni, sorprendentemente semplici ed espansi, ponti ideali alla proiezione libera di chi ascolta, al punto per una semantica della visione, incantano e suggeriscono, anticipano e decriptano, seminano e raccolgono, stimolano.

No Strange is an Italian group influenced by psychedelic music, that mixes in original way elements of pop-art and Kosmische musik. It was born in Turin (Italy) in 1980 and was created by Salvatore “Ursus” D'Urso and Alberto Ezzu. No Strange benchmarks included the first Pink Floyd, Brainticket, Soft Machine and Third Ear Band but mainly the early works of Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel and Popol Vuh, with whom they shared a common musical and spiritual quest. In 2008 Ursus and Alberto decided to reassemble No Strange band after a long break until 1998.Cristalli Sognanti is a singular and intensive work, edit by Area Pirata (CD) and Psych-Out (LP), in which the caleidoscope embroidery between music and lyrics achieves very poetic and lyrical moments.

Psychedelia in the beginning. Since 1970s Ezzu has been following the same dream, the dream of his own generation to “expand the borders of the mind».In this double LP the same homonymous 2006’cd is enclosed with other 3 tracks. One of this is realized with a new line up (with cello, percussions and oboe) that preannounces the next work in 2012.Same track create a modal frame in which the solo singers weave delicate sound textures like slow spirals of incense smoke fading in the air. In this work the sound is both avant-garde and ancient, primeval as if generated by the early wave motion of the Big Bang. A record out of time, suspended in a slow and almost unreal but constant flowing. Really psychedelic, connected to cultural birthing underground.
